President Search

Dear Detroit Cristo Rey Community,

On behalf of the Search Committee and the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to report that our search for a new President/CEO is on track. Over the past two months, our consultant has connected with approximately 200 community leaders and potential candidates in an effort to attract a strong pool of qualified applicants. We received dozens of applications from mission-inspired leaders eager to serve our school community.

In the next couple of weeks, the Search Committee, which is comprised of trusted members of the Detroit Cristo Rey community, will interview the strongest candidates. The role of the Search Committee is to identify the top two candidates and present them to the Board of Trustees, which is responsible for selecting the President/CEO.

The board plans on interviewing the top two candidates in December and sharing an announcement with the school community in December or early January.

At this time of Thanksgiving, we are grateful to the Basilian Fathers; the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary; the Search Committee; and the Board of Trustees for their commitment to finding a leader worthy of our mission and the students entrusted to our care. We give thanks also for the faculty, staff, and administration for their tireless efforts and dedication to our students’ success through this time of leadership transition. And, as always, we are grateful for your continued prayers in support of Detroit Cristo Rey.
