The Detroit Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program is a unique educational initiative that combines rigorous academics with real-world work experience for students in Detroit, Michigan.

It is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a national network of Catholic High Schools serving financially challenged families.

The program follows a distinctive model where students attend school four days a week and work in professional settings one day a week. This work study approach aims to provide students with practical skills, professional development and exposure to various industries while earning a portion of their tuition.

Through partnerships with local businesses, the Detroit Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program offers students the opportunity to work in a professional environment gaining valuable work experience and networking opportunities. Students are placed in entry level positions in a wide range of fields including Finance, Healthcare, Law, Technology, Manufacturing and more.  This exposure to the workplace helps students develop important skills, such as time management, communication, problem solving and teamwork.

Overall, the Detroit Cristo Rey Corporate Work Study Program offers a very special educational experience, combining academics, professional development and a strong sense of community. By integrating real-world work experience into the curriculum, the program equips Cristo Rey students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in college, career and life.
