Tuition & Financial Aid
Making Private School Tuition Affordable
Detroit Cristo Rey High School serves families who normally would not be able to afford the costs associated with attending private school.
The tuition a family pays is based upon household income and determined by the FACTS financial verification and our finance department.
Through generous benefactors and consistent fundraising, Detroit Cristo Rey offers extensive financial aid based on household income and household size.
As many as 90% of our families have received aid in the past, with a large percentage paying less than $800 per year ($70 per month). All tuition assistance awards must be reviewed by the Finance Committee prior to formal approval.
A number of additional scholarship opportunities exist to ensure accessibility to and affordability of a Detroit Cristo Rey college preparatory education. Please visit the “Donor-Supported Scholarship Funds” section below or contact the Detroit Cristo Rey Business Office for additional details.

Financial Aid
FACTS Tuition Management System
Detroit Cristo Rey uses a tuition management system called FACTS. FACTS financial verification must be completed online in order to be considered for admission and financial aid. FACTS analyzes financial information provided along with required documents to assess financial need.
Every family must create an account in FACTS and complete the Financial Verification process.
AOD Tuition Assistance Program
The Archdiocese of Detroit (AOD) offers additional tuition assistance to catholic families. The AOD also uses FACTS management to process the tuition assistance application for families who wish to apply for the Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Grant. Application availability and deadline dates are determined by the AOD. As soon as the application becomes available, Detroit Cristo Rey will share the information.
